Affiliate Marketing Disclosure

I set up this blog, because I love to blog, as evidenced by the fact I have a few of them, and the hope is that eventually I can make some money with it. To be clear, I don't blog to make money, I do it because I really enjoy it, but it takes time and I like money, and since the possibility is there to do this thing I love and maybe make a little extra cash, I'd be pretty stupid not to do it, right? Since I'm going to attempt to make some money, and since they have this whole affiliate honesty and transparency thing these days where you're supposed to tell folks if when they click a link you post you might get a penny or 2 from it, I thought I'd just put up a little something here to let anyone whose interested know that, I may actually sometimes post affiliate links on my blogs, my Squidoo sites, and maybe even eventually on Twitter, and maybe if they click and buy something I will get paid.

I am at this time an affiliate of Amazon, HostGator, Godaddy, AllPosters, and Zazzle. I am affiliated with these websites because I use them, I like them, and I feel good about promoting them and their products. I LOVE! Amazon, Ebay and Walmart are the 3 places I do 95% of any shopping I do. Therefore, I will tend to write about them periodically, and write about things I buy from there, or if I talk about a book or a movie or something, I don't feel at all bad about maybe earning a commission from that, because I'd do it anyway for free! LOL I am also a member of Linkshare and Clickbank, because it gives me options. Options are good. I have been buying my domains through GoDaddy for the past 10 years or so, and don't intend to stop. I like them, I trust them, and have been hosting all my sites with HostGator for at least 3 years, maybe 4, for the same reason. I use them, so I can recommend them, and if you're looking for domains or hosting, you can't go wrong with either of them.

If you're wondering whether you can trust what I say when I recommend a product or service, because the link I post might be an affiliate link, there are some things you should know about me.

1. I will never promote a product that I haven't either bought or used myself, or that I haven't researched enough about to be sure that it's not crap or a ripoff. I don't want to cheat anyone out of anything. Times are tough. People work hard for their money, and I'd rather show people a free option if it's comparable to a paid one than make money pushing someone to buy something just so I get paid.

2. If I tell you a book or product or some sort of software is worth buying, you can believe it, because I don't pay for ANY kind of software or book or service EVER unless it's really something I think I must have, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do it either.

3. I will never knowingly tell you anything that is untrue…about a product or anything else. I hate liars and scammers and the whole “Do whatever it takes to get them to buy” mentality of some marketers. I will never promote any kind of MLM or “Make a Million Dollars In Your Sleep” program, because they are all scams and YOU WILL LOSE MONEY unless you are at the top, in which case you have to scam people to make your money, and that's on your conscience, not mine.
